Together in the Work. Together in Grace
As we sit down to write this update, there’s one word that keeps rising to the surface—together.
This morning, in our devotional reading, Paul’s words to the Philippians leapt off the page and into our hearts:
“It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart. For you are all partakers with me of grace.” —Philippians 1:7
Those words echo how we feel about YOU.
We don’t take your support for granted—whether it’s been years of faithful partnership or recent prayers lifted on our behalf. We carry you with us as we serve, and we thank God for this beautifully intertwined journey we share.
TYLER'S 1ST TRIP INTO CUBA
There’s something special about seeing someone step into the very places you’ve poured your heart into for years.
Tyler’s first trip to Cuba wasn’t just a learning experience—it was a holy collision of curiosity, kindness, and calling. The Cuban pastors and families welcomed him with joy, and his servant’s heart was evident in every moment. It was the beginning of something beautiful
LONGTIME FRIENDS, SHARED REST
When Hultner and Tania came from Nicaragua for a visit, it was more than just catching up—it was a breath of fresh air, a moment of R&R with ministry partners who have walked beside us for years. But even more than that, it was a time of deep soul care and honest processing of the many hard transitions their family is currently walking through. We watched God gently bring to the surface things that needed to be said and felt, and we saw Him answer prayers in profound, unexpected ways. It was sacred space—filled with grace, healing, and hope.
BIG TURN OUT, BIG IMPACT: VOLUNTEERS AT THE REST
The weekly rhythm of hosting missionaries at Beginning of the Rest is sacred—but it’s not simple. It requires time, energy, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work.
So when four local churches showed up with willing hands and ready hearts-wow. We were overwhelmed in the best way. From chainsaws to spring cleaning, they tackled projects that had lingered on the list for months. Every single person was perfectly placed.

PRAYER AND PARTNERSHIP
Every prayer lifted, every gift given, and every encouraging word reminds us—we’re not alone.
Thank you for walking with us so faithfully.
We’re grateful beyond words.
We’d be so grateful if you’d pause and pray for a few specific needs:
- For religious visa approvals for our September Cuba trip
- For God to stir the hearts of the right people to join the team
- For His Spirit to move deeply during a 2-day women’s conference for 100+ attendees
- For provision of much-needed supplies for Cuban pastors—medicines, solar panels, basic needs
- For a monthly volunteer crew at The Rest—lawn work, cleaning, and care
As God brings you to mind during our prayer time, we’d love to pray for you too. Just drop us a note at carlmost@gmail.com — seriously, we mean it.
